§ 8070 Career Technical Education Advisory Committee

Key Takeaways

  • •Schools with job-training programs must have a special group to help make the program better.
  • •This group includes people like teachers, students, business owners, and others who know about jobs and helping people who need extra support.
  • •The group gives advice to the school and helps connect them with local employers.

Example

A high school offers a program to teach students how to fix cars. The school creates a group with a car mechanic, a teacher, a student, and a person who helps kids who are struggling.

This group meets to talk about how to make the car-fixing program better. They might suggest new tools to buy or ways to help students find jobs after they finish the program. They also help the school talk to local car shops about hiring students.
