§ 78016 Vocational Program Review Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •Community colleges must check their job training programs every two years to make sure they are still useful.
  • •The programs must help students get jobs and not be the same as other programs nearby.
  • •If a program isn’t working well, the college has one year to stop it.
  • •The college must share what they find with the public.

Example

A community college offers a program to train people to fix cars. After two years, they check if students are getting jobs as mechanics. If most students aren’t finding jobs, the college might have to stop the program.
