§ 58806 County Special School Funding

• •Special schools run by the county get money like regular school districts.
• •If a student goes to summer school at a special school, their old school can’t count them for summer school money.
• •The special school must tell the student’s old school if they are in summer school there.

A student named Alex goes to a special county school for part of the year. In the summer, Alex attends summer school at this special school.

The special school gets money for Alex being there, but Alex’s old school can’t also get money for him. The special school has to tell Alex’s old school that he’s in their summer program.
