§ 52316 High School Pe Excuse

• •High school students in grades 10, 11, or 12 who go to a special job-training school can skip gym class if traveling to both schools is too hard.
• •The school board must agree to let the student skip gym class.
• •If a student skips gym class, they still have to be in their regular high school for at least 180 minutes (3 hours) each day.

A student in 11th grade goes to a special school to learn how to fix cars. This school is far away, and going to both schools makes it hard to get to gym class on time.

The student can ask their regular high school to let them skip gym class because traveling to both schools is too hard. If the school says yes, the student still has to be in their regular high school for at least 3 hours each day.
