§ 51246 Senior Pe Exemption Rules

• •If you're a senior in your last semester and go to school for less than 4 hours a day, you might not have to take PE.
• •But if skipping PE means you'd still be in school for 4 hours or more, you can't skip it.
• •This rule only applies to students who already have permission to leave school early.

A high school senior who only has two classes left and leaves school after lunch.

If those two classes take less than 4 hours total, the school can let them skip PE. But if skipping PE means they'd still be in school for 4 hours or more, they have to take PE.
