§ 21186 Trustee Property Petition Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •If you make a trust (a way to hold property for someone else), you have to say in writing that it was done correctly and willingly.
  • •You must list all the property (like houses, money, or stuff) that the trust owns, even if it’s new stuff bought with the original money.
  • •This rule is for making sure everyone knows what’s in the trust and that it’s all legal.

Example

Grandma puts her house and savings into a trust for her kids.

Grandma has to write down that she really meant to do this and list everything in the trust, like the house and any money she added later.
