§ 18951 Library Gift Fund Allocation

Key Takeaways

  • •If someone gives money to the library (like a gift or in a will), it goes into a special library fund.
  • •This money can only be used for library stuff, like books or programs.
  • •The library can't spend this money on anything else.

Example

A rich person leaves $10,000 to the town library in their will.

The library must put this $10,000 into a special fund and can only use it for library things, like buying new books or fixing the building. They can't use it for something else, like fixing potholes in the road.
