§ 18762 Library Resource Sharing Agreements

Key Takeaways

  • •Libraries can team up with other places that have books or info to share stuff with people.
  • •If a library in California is part of this program, they have to share their books and help with state reference centers when asked.
  • •This is all about making sure people can get the info they need from different places.

Example

You need a special book for a school project, but your local library doesn’t have it.

Your library can ask another library or info center to lend them the book so you can use it. If your library is part of this program, they have to help out other state libraries too when they need something.
