§ 18336 Union High School Library Districts

Key Takeaways

  • •If most people (two-thirds) vote 'yes' in an election, a special library area for high schools can be created.
  • •The local government (board of supervisors) must officially approve it.
  • •The high school's leaders will be in charge of this new library area.

Example

A small town votes on whether to create a special library just for their high school.

If 100 people vote and at least 67 say 'yes,' the town leaders must make it happen, and the high school principal and team will run it.
