§ 17175 Authority Officer Elections And Duties

(a) Upon the first appointment of its members, and thereafter on or after March 31 of each year, the authority shall elect from its members a vice chairperson and a secretary-treasurer, who shall hold office until the following March 31, and shall continue to serve until their successors have been elected. (b) On behalf of the authority, the chairperson shall appoint an executive director, who shall not be a member of the authority, and who shall serve at the pleasure of the authority. The executive director shall receive the compensation fixed for that purpose by the authority. The authority may delegate to the executive director or any other official or employee of the authority any powers and duties that the authority deems proper, including, but not limited to, the power to enter into contracts on behalf of the authority.
