§ 17015 School Project Liability Insurance

Key Takeaways

  • •Schools must have insurance to cover accidents or damage caused by school projects.
  • •This insurance helps pay if someone gets hurt or something gets broken because of the project.
  • •The school board makes sure this insurance is in place.

Example

A school builds a new playground, and a kid gets hurt on a broken swing.

The school's insurance would help pay for the kid's medical bills because the school has to have insurance for things like this.
