§ 16719 School Building Apportionment Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •Schools won't get money from the state to build, fix, or add to their buildings if they don't follow the rules for building schools.
  • •The rules must be followed for the whole building project, not just part of it.
  • •If the school's plan doesn't meet the rules, they won't get the money they asked for.

Example

A school wants to build a new gym and some new classrooms.

If the school's plan for the new gym and classrooms doesn't follow all the rules for building schools, the state won't give them any money to help build it.
