§ 16265 Children’S Center Funding Eligibility

This rule lets local groups that run kids' centers ask for money to do projects, and even groups that didn't run a center last year can still be considered using similar rules.

Key Takeaways

  • •If a local agency runs or is allowed to run a kids' center, it can apply for help with projects.
  • •Even agencies that didn't run a kids' center last year can be judged using a method like the one in Section 16264.
  • •They can use reasonable estimates when figuring out costs.

Example

A town runs a community after‑school program and wants money to build a new playground.

Because the town already operates a children’s center, it can apply for assistance under this rule to fund the playground project.
