§ 16069 District Apportionment Repayment

This law says any district that gets money from this chapter must pay back the original amount plus interest, following the rules in the same chapter.

Key Takeaways

  • •Districts that receive money must repay the original amount.
  • •They also have to pay the interest that adds up over time.
  • •The way they pay back is set out in the same chapter of the law.

Example

A county school district receives a grant to build a new library and later has to pay back the grant money with interest.

Because the district got an apportionment, it must return the exact amount it received and the interest that builds up, using the repayment steps laid out in this chapter.
