§ 1292 Deputy Superintendent Minimum Compensation

• •The rule applies to every deputy superintendent in that area.

In a city, the lowest high school principal earns $65,000 a year. A deputy school superintendent in that city would have to be paid $65,000 or more.

Because the law sets a minimum pay level for deputy superintendents based on the smallest principal salary, the deputy can't be paid less than $65,000.
