§ 12307 District Payment Deposits

• •The money is extra – it doesn’t replace other funds the district gets.
• •The rule applies no matter what other money the district already has.

A state agency sends $5,000 to a school district for a new computer lab.

The $5,000 must be put into the district’s general fund and counted as extra money, on top of the district’s regular budget and any other grants they already have.
