§ 7612 Joint Membership Voting Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •If two or more people own a membership together, they can vote on it.
  • •If only one person votes, their vote counts for everyone.
  • •If more than one person votes, the majority vote wins and counts for everyone.
  • •If you don’t tell the company in writing about any special rules for voting, these rules apply.

Example

Three friends own a membership in a club together. Two of them vote to change a rule, but the third friend doesn’t vote.

Since two out of the three friends voted the same way, their vote counts for all three. The rule change happens because the majority agreed.
