§ 5313 Membership Admission Rules

• •A company can let anyone become a member unless its rules say otherwise.
• •The rules of the company (called articles or bylaws) can say who can or can't be a member.
• •If there are no special rules, anyone can join.

A local club wants to let new people join.

If the club’s rules don’t say anything about who can join, they can let anyone become a member. But if their rules say only people from a certain town can join, then they have to follow that.
