§ 25510 No Implied Private Liability

Key Takeaways

  • •This law says you can't sue someone just because they broke a rule in this law.
  • •If someone hurts you, you can still sue them using other laws, not this one.
  • •This law doesn’t stop you from suing for things like car crashes or other problems—just not for breaking this specific law.

Example

If a company breaks a rule in this law, like not following safety steps, but no one gets hurt.

You can’t sue them just because they broke the rule. But if someone gets hurt because of their mistake, you can sue using other laws, like personal injury laws.
