§ 14022 Bank Official Conflict Prohibitions

This law says people working for the California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank can't take bribes or use bank money for their own benefit.

Key Takeaways

  • •Bank workers can't take gifts or money for approving loans.
  • •They can't borrow money or use bank funds for themselves.
  • •They can't make deals where bank deposits are used to benefit others improperly.

Example

A bank officer is offered a free vacation by a company in exchange for approving their loan.

The officer can't accept the vacation because it's a bribe, and doing so would break this law.
