This law says the rules in this chapter don't apply when a company is being closed down or dissolved under certain other chapters.

Key Takeaways

  • •This chapter's rules don't apply when a company is being closed down.
  • •Other chapters (15, 16, and 17) have their own rules for closing a company.
  • •If a company is shutting down, look at those other chapters instead.

Example

A small business decides to close permanently and needs to follow specific steps to shut down.
