This law says that a religious leader must sign and submit papers to the state to officially create a special kind of organization called a 'corporation sole'.

Key Takeaways

  • •A religious leader (like a bishop or priest) must sign the papers to create this organization.
  • •The papers must be sent to the Secretary of State for approval.
  • •Once approved, the organization is officially created.

Example

A bishop wants to create a legal organization for their church.

The bishop must sign the papers and send them to the Secretary of State. If everything is correct, the state will approve them, and the church becomes an official 'corporation sole'.
