§ 8052 Effective Date Transition Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •This law started working on July 1, 2012.
  • •If someone did something related to this law before July 1, 2012, the old rules apply, not this new law.
  • •If part of this law is the same as an old law, it’s just a repeat of the old law, not a new rule.

Example

A builder starts working on a house in June 2012 and gives a notice about the work.

Since the notice was given before July 1, 2012, the old rules apply, not the new law.
