§ 6628 Condominium Plan Amendments

Key Takeaways

  • •To change or cancel a condo plan, everyone who originally signed it must agree and sign again.
  • •The new agreement must be officially recorded, just like the first one.
  • •If even one person who signed the first plan doesn’t sign the new one, the change or cancellation won’t work.

Example

Imagine you and your neighbors all signed a paper to turn your apartment building into condos. Now, you all want to change the rules about who can use the pool.

For the new pool rules to work, every single person who signed the first paper must sign the new one, and it has to be officially recorded. If one neighbor refuses to sign, the pool rules stay the same.
