§ 8553 Violations And Penalties

Any person who violates any provision of this chapter, or who conspires with another person to violate any provision of this chapter, is guilty of a misdemeanor, and is punishable by a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50) nor more than five thousand dollars ($5,000), or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. (Amended by Stats. 2018, Ch. 572, Sec. 10. (SB 1481) Effective January 1, 2019.)
