§ 8046 Shorthand Reporter Professional Conduct

• •A shorthand reporting company must follow all the rules that shorthand reporters have to follow.
• •If a shorthand reporter can't do something because it's against the rules, the company can't do it either.
• •The company has to act like it has the same license as a shorthand reporter.

A shorthand reporting company is asked to share private notes from a court case with someone who isn't allowed to see them.

Just like a shorthand reporter can't share private notes, the company can't either. If they do, they're breaking the rules.
