§ 7708 Funeral License Denial Grounds

Key Takeaways

  • •If you did something really bad (like a crime), the government can say 'no' to your job application for working in a funeral home.
  • •They will have a meeting (hearing) to talk about it before they decide.
  • •If you were found guilty in court before, they will use that as proof you did something wrong.

Example

Someone wants to be an embalmer but was convicted of stealing money from their last job.

The government can look at the court papers showing they stole money and say, 'Because you did this bad thing, you can’t work with dead bodies.'
