§ 7649 Embalmer Certificate Signature Requirement

Key Takeaways

  • •If an embalmer signs a paper saying they did a job, they must actually do that job themselves.
  • •The embalmer has to write their real signature on the paper, not someone else's.
  • •This rule is about making sure embalmers don’t lie on official papers.

Example

An embalmer signs a paper saying they prepared a body for a funeral, but they didn’t actually do it.

This is breaking the law because the embalmer lied on the paper. They have to do the job themselves and sign their real name.
