§ 7170 Solar Contractor Complaint Reports

Key Takeaways

  • •The state keeps track of complaints about solar companies and contractors.
  • •Every year, they make a public report showing what complaints were made, where they came from, and how they were solved.
  • •The report includes details like the type of complaint and the ZIP Code of the person who complained.

Example

You hire a solar company to install panels on your roof, but they do a bad job and leave leaks.

You can complain to the state, and they will write it down in their yearly report. The report will show what happened and if the problem was fixed.
