§ 7095 Contractor License Suspension Terms

Key Takeaways

  • •If a contractor breaks the rules, their license can be suspended, meaning they can't work for a while.
  • •Sometimes, they might be allowed to finish jobs they already started before the suspension.
  • •They might have to follow special rules, like paying back people they hurt or taking classes, before they can work again.
  • •If they don’t follow the rules during their probation, their license can be taken away immediately.

Example

A contractor builds a house but does a bad job, and the roof leaks, causing damage to the owner's furniture.

The contractor might have to stop working until they fix the roof and pay for the damaged furniture. They might also have to take classes to learn how to do their job better before they can work again.
