§ 5510 Architects Board Establishment

Key Takeaways

  • •There is a group called the California Architects Board with 10 members.
  • •If any law mentions the 'California Board of Architectural Examiners,' it means the same thing as the California Architects Board.
  • •This rule will only last until January 1, 2029, and then it will go away.
  • •After it goes away, the board will be checked by the Legislature to see if it should keep going.

Example

Imagine you want to build a new house and need to hire an architect.

The California Architects Board is the group that makes sure architects follow the rules. If you see a law talking about the 'California Board of Architectural Examiners,' it’s just talking about this same group. But remember, this rule about the board will disappear in 2029, and then the government will decide if the board should still exist.
