Key Takeaways

  • •A group of up to 13 licensed people can be picked to help give expert advice to the board.
  • •This group can only give advice—they can’t punish anyone or start disciplinary actions.
  • •If they investigate something, they can only tell the board or the boss what they found.

Example

Imagine a group of doctors is asked to help the medical board figure out new rules for hospitals.

The doctors can give their opinions and advice, but they can’t fire or punish other doctors. They can only report their findings to the board.
