§ 312 Annual Department Performance Report

Key Takeaways

  • •The boss of a government department must send a yearly report to the Governor and lawmakers by January 1st.
  • •The report must show how many people complained about things and what was done about those complaints.
  • •The report must also show how long it takes to look into complaints and punish people if needed.
  • •The report must follow certain rules about how it is written and sent.

Example

Imagine you complain to the government about a bad doctor.

The government boss must write a report every year that says how many complaints they got about doctors, how long it took to check out your complaint, and if the doctor got in trouble. This helps make sure the government is doing its job right.
