§ 21502 Watch Return Exemption

• •If you return a watch to the same store you bought it from within a year, they don’t have to follow the usual rules for used watches.

You buy a watch from a jewelry store, but after 6 months, you decide you don’t like it and return it to the same store for a refund or exchange.

The store can take the watch back without treating it like a 'used' watch under the law, as long as they have a record of selling it to you and nothing major (like the serial number) has been removed.
