§ 1956 Dental Hygiene Treatment Standards

Key Takeaways

  • •Dentists and dental hygienists must not do bad or unnecessary work on purpose.
  • •They can't make rules that stop people from getting the dental care they really need.
  • •If they keep making mistakes or do really careless work, it's against the rules.

Example

A dentist keeps telling patients they need expensive treatments, even when their teeth are fine.

This is against the law because the dentist is doing unnecessary work just to make more money, which is not allowed.
