§ 1906 Dental Hygiene Board Regulations

Key Takeaways

  • •The dental hygiene board makes rules for dental hygienists.
  • •These rules can't tell dentists or dental offices what to do unless the law says so.
  • •Old rules from the dental board still apply to dental hygienists until new ones are made.
  • •The dental hygiene board is in charge of enforcing these rules for dental hygienists.

Example

A dental hygienist wants to start a new cleaning method.

The dental hygiene board can make a rule about this new method, but they can't make a rule that tells the dentist how to run their office unless the law allows it.
