§ 18642 Combat Sports Licensing Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •You need a special license to be a boxer, martial arts fighter, or work with them (like a manager or trainer).
  • •You can't fight or work in a fight without this license.
  • •The government gives out these licenses to keep things safe and fair.

Example

Your friend wants to be a professional boxer and start fighting in big matches.

Before they can step into the ring for a real fight, they must get a license from the government. If they try to fight without it, they’ll get in trouble and won’t be allowed to fight.
