Key Takeaways

  • •The commission must send a report to the Governor and Legislature by July 30, 2012.
  • •The report must include details about money collected from promoters and how it's spent.
  • •The report should also suggest if a medical database is needed to track injuries and deaths in sports.
  • •The report must check on the Boxers’ Pension Fund and suggest if it should continue or include more athletes.

Example

Imagine a group that oversees boxing matches collects money from event organizers.

They have to tell the government how much money they collected, how they spent it, and if they should keep a fund to help retired boxers. They also need to suggest if they should track injuries in a special database.
