§ 1634 Dentist Licensing Requirements

• •If you pass the dentist test, you get a license to work as a dentist in California.
• •Your name goes on a special list (the board register) to show you’re officially a dentist.
• •The license lets you legally do dentist work in the state.

Someone finishes dental school and passes the big test to become a dentist.

After passing, the state gives them a license, and their name is added to the official list of dentists. Now they can legally work as a dentist in California.
